Gallop
Pearl (Sigel) of Golden Valley, passed away Sept. 5, 2009. Born in
Duluth, MN March 9, 1917. Graduated Duluth Central in 1935 as Class
Salutatorian, then graduated from the Duluth Business University . With her
husband Sammy Gallop they owned Kasbar Restaurant & Night Club, and
promoted boxing and wrestling events in Duluth. After the death of her
husband Sammy, she moved to Mpls in 1974 and worked for the State of MN as an
employment counselor until retirement in 1985. Pearl enjoyed spending her
remaining years living independently as a loving and devoted mother,
grandmother, and great grandmother. Preceded in death by husbands, Sammy
Gallop and Sam Sigel; parents David & Lena Naymark; sister, Brenda Singer
and brother, Leonard Naymark. Survived by loving children, Jeanne &
Steven Prawer and Craig & Pam Gallop; grandchildren, Bonnie & Jeremy
Cram, Scott Prawer, Sammy, Harlan, and Jesse Gallop; great grandchildren,
Lindsey and David Cram; brother, Sherman (Bettey) Naymark; sister, Harriett
Naymark; sister-in-law, Lillian Margolis; and nieces and nephews. Funeral
service MONDAY 10 AM BET SHALOM CONGREGATION, 13613 Orchard Rd., Minnetonka.
Burial to follow in Duluth. Memorials are preferred to Rabbi Norman Cohen's
Discretionary Fund at Bet Shalom Congregation or Rabbi Jesse Gallop's
Discretionary Fund at Beth Chaverim Reform Congregation, 21740 Beaumeade
Cir., Ashburn, VA 20147 or the Pearl Gallop Fund at Temple Israel. SHIVA
